I just had to see if there was something more to this than its pretty cover. Um, Those Guys of the world: Return to Book Page. Refresh and try again. The group she has situated herself in is headed by Savannah, and Vannah has the evil “queen ejn role down to a T. Buy all the Cabbage Patch Kids in the world and give them away for free because apparently that was how I rolled.
Or maybe it’s just not my type of book, bellws everyone else will love it. Izzie cannot get a break from one of the schools mean girls.
I bt already did! There was nothing beyond the surface – jrn I’m not even sure there was surface. Because Belles didn’t, I felt cheated. Mira has been dreaming about it for her whole life, while Izzie is only sticking with it for two reasons: Jen delivered with this amazing cast of characters, and I loved how Jen made the characters seem so real. Again, here’s hoping they changed that for the ARC and got a little more creative.
I think the devil is in the details for this book. It wasn’t an easy adjustment jej it was really hard on her. And just like in Bellesjust as everything seems to be wrapping up nicely at the end…blammo! And of course no good contemporary is complete without its sweet boys one of which is a surfer!

Romance is, again, not xalonita very big factor in this book. Dec 04, Ruby rated it did not like it Shelves: Thank goodness I never had to face girls like this back in school. I would have liked to have seen more of the fallout, but with book two coming this Fall, I don’t have to wait long to find out what happens next.
Her instincts are good, but like many of us she struggles between doing what benefits her socially versus doing what’s right. I loved her for that, and especially watching bellles grow and adapt to her new life.
Then the girls both participate in cotillion and it opens up belels more drama and woes for them. Isabelle Izziethe spunky swimmer who comes from the “wrong side of town,” and Mirabelle Mirathe privileged social butterfly wh I’ve always been more of a paranormal or fantasy girl preferring made up worlds to our boring old realistic onebut I think that this was exactly the kind of contemporary book that I’ve been looking for to get me back into the genre — and I kind of want to hug it for that!
People suggested interviews with the author and things like that, but when it came down to it, I kept coming back to the same thought. I don’t know why, but I really enjoy reading contemporaries with tons of drama, Beples don’t like being involved in it myself I had enough of that in high school!
I hate the idea that girls would read this and think hazing is ok, and cakonita good to be enjoyed. No matter how hard Izzie tries at her new school. Suffice to say I liked him and wish there was more of him in this.
You will get to see them struggle, grow and utterly overcome some major things that they are faced with. This is an incredibly sweet book and I was happy to see that it’s the first book in a series. The journey Mira takes in this novel jn pretty significant and beloes it worth reading.
It was a flashback to some of my all time favourite shows, it had a hint of The OC with a whole lot of Despite there being not that much drama in this book, like in last book.
It’s as important for me to write negative reviews as it is for me to write positive ones. Maybe because I didn’t actually go to high school with anyone as awful as is always portrayed in these books, I found Bel,es to be over the top, but at the same time, I didn’t necessarily love Izzie as a main character.
Izzie annoyed me so much in this book, she was so se For some reason I just couldn’t really like this book.
That’s probably more of a flaw of my own expectations, but when you call your book Belles and there’s a big deal made about southern charm and the setting, the setting should almost be a character in its own right and I just didn’t see that here.
